VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : volume pot for jazz setup?

I like the blends I can get with my current V_V_T setup, but I would like to change volume without changing tone. Could I just wire a pot to control the overall output? Would there be volume loss at full? Tone adversities?

Stewart-Mac has a concentric pot, so I could replace the tone pot and it would become a tone/overall volume pot. My question is still - are ther tone adversities or something else detrimental that having an additional pot just in front of the bass' output would cause?

you could take out one volume pot, and put in a pan pot, volume and tone, so that you can lower the volume without messing with the pickup blend.

How about a volume pedal?

Thanks R.M. - I saw the same writing on the wall and ordered one last Friday - am expecting to see it today!
