The ad that GHS has been running in BP for several months now featuring Black Label Society's John DeServio is puzzling at best — misleading at worst...

DeServio says, "I've been rocking GHS strings since the inception of BLS". I'm not their biggest fan, but by MY count, DeServio is BLS's FOURTH bassist. Not first. Not second or third. Fourth.

Maybe John DeServio means that he's been using GHS strings since around the same TIME that BLS started, but that'd be blatantly misleading...

I saw BLS on their first tour and he was their bassist. They have cycled a few through since then, but he tours with them when he isn't doing other stuff. Him and Zakk have been friends since high school.

Well, that makes more sense, then. I thought JD was a new guy.
