I ordered a darkstar over a month ago and was told 2 weeks when I ordered it, I emailed a few days after I was supposed to get it and was told it was going to go out this monday, still haven't received it. Sent out another email on wednesday with no response as of yet. Anyone else ever have issues with this?

Since these are made to order in very limited quantities by one guy (Fred Hammond) I imagine he can be prone to delays, although I've never heard of anything resembling bad customer service from him. He plays in a local cover band that I planned on seeing this weekend if this head cold I caught clears up. If I make it out I'll ask if he's back logged and report back.

yeah, im not hugely pissed off about it other than being told one thing and another happening, if he had said 6 weeks, sure that's fine, just don't like feeling like im being jerked around.

His website has said the 5 string version would be available soon

well 3 phone calls and 2 emails since last week with no response... kind of frustrating, i've already routed the bass and just waiting for the pickup, I'd hate to have to do a chargeback but it's getting close to that point.

I give you credit for being even this patient. I would do a chargeback immediately and not think twice.

yeah... i just really want the pickup and already routed it and spent 80 bucks on a custom pickguard for it.

I would try to be patient. I just went through the same delay, but have received and installed the pup.

7 weeks, my latest one, just came in yesterday..
