so im about to start modding out my Squire standard P...

I dont know too terribly much about pick ups:hmm:

heres a pic of the exact bass.....what kind of pick up config would this be call ?.....a PJ set-up?

Im looking for a good replacement pack for these...(one including all three p/u's)....i was looking at the basslines, and the dimarzio's

this is what i found:

http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/DiMarzio-DP126-PJ-Neck-Bridge-Bass-Pickup-Set?sku=302285

do those look about right:eyebrow:...i feel dumb for asking, but this is my first p/u replacment and i have to order them

thanks

I have Basslines on my custom build, I also like Barts.

I think the Dimarzios are a good choice for a few reasons....inexpensive overall, good quality name product, and passives require no battery. I have played actives for 20 years and just converted to passives. A lot less hassle and very "natural" sounding. I have a few Dimarzio P's and they are very loud and punchy compared to some others. Duncans and Bartolinis are great too.

I was just recently thinking about getting those Dimarzios for my Jazz..

But I have Bassline: Quarter Pound pickups in my P.. They sound heavenly.. I recommend those :)

I've used the Di Marzio P/J setup on my Bass for many years - and at that time you had to buy the pair of J pups and throw one away!! - and highly recommend it. Once you have them installled, you might try experimenting with the series/parallel and phase switching options that you can find on the Di Mazrzio website.
