I'm trying to put some material on youtube.
Now i'm wondering how to make the best quality youtube videos, including bass covers.
I know that direct-in sound is much better than webcam recording, and i'm wondering what you guys use for that. That axeport pro looks awful nice if it actually delivers.

So basically........

are any softwares helpful?
What is the nature of direct-in from bass to computer? do i need an amp inbetween, just an interface, or what?
How can I get the cleanest quality sound for the song itself when I do bass covers?

ty ty friends....my appy oll logies for not knowing so much, but I just thought that this is a relatively new "field" and that user opinions would be helpful.
:D

i know quicktime plugs directly into pro tools, though ive never had a desire or use for that particular feature. that would not solve editing issues, but for one take and ideal sound, itd work just fine, with minimal hardware investment.

there are more, very much so more expensive options, but i know less about those (my choice would be a 4u i7, dual 15k app hdds [xp/os_], 2+ 1+ tb hdds, dual+ monitor, all quiet, all cool, lots of ramm... externall video and sound processing [but im not super smart with builds {just done one]]). rackmount is just handy. i see that in my future.
