Here's the deal: I'm in the midst of "refining" our limited PA gear and have discovered that virtually all of our available cable stock is 16 gauge. Part of the project involves installing Speakons or banana plugs to accommodate the bridged outputs on two QSC RMX 1400's (1400 watts @ 4 ohm). Relatively speaking, we're not pushing gobs of power but I'd hate to create a situation that may precipitate any type of equipment failure. FTR, none of the runs will be over 25'.
Oh, and while we're on the subject: I read a post somewhere that unshielded, two-conductor stranded wire (Home Depot, Lowe's) can be used as speaker cable. Can anybody validate this information?
Thanks
Riis
