Hi folks,

Right im basically looking for better ways to advertise my lessons anyone able to give a list of ideas or links etc that could help? I'm based in the UK.

I found word of mouth worked best. also performing live somewhere is good exposure. also let everyone you meet know you are teaching. it seems everywhere I move to takes about 6 months to pick up new students.

Craigslist or similar
Ads in the local music rags (papers)
Bulletin boards at music shops that will allow it. (they don't offer lessons)

I agree with word of mouth. The two private teachers I had, I introduced myself and simply asked if they teach and if they had a spot open.
