Anyone here using this program?? If so can you please tell me how to get the software in proper tune?? Its kinda off sounding. I don't mean transposing. It seems as though its not set for 440...

I have been using guitar pro for a few years now and it never sounds off to me. It is MIDI sounds haha, what can you expect. If anything, I'd just say tune to guitar pro instead of to a tuner, that way you are in line with it.

Guitar pro is really convenient to tune to anyway haha

I've been using it for about a 2 years now and I think it's great. The only draw back for bass tabs is that it's more guitar oriented, so a lot of the transcriptions cut corners just to get the general "idea" of what bass is doing and aren't exact. But some of them are pretty darn close.

I've never had a problem with what you're talking about though, other than transposing. Are you claiming that the instruments in the GP files don't sound as though they are in tune? Is this with all the files you download?

Make sure your own instruments are actually being tuned to 440, and then make sure the songs you are playing aren`t dropped any.

I'm not familiar with Guitar Pro, but I use Band-in-a-Box to practice with, and it's out of tune by a different amount every time I start it up. There's a "master tuning" function under the "general midi" menu that allows you to change the tuning; I use this and a tuner to set to A=440 every time I use it. Maybe GP has something similar?
