OK, I'm bored.

Anyone else find it odd (or even just wrong) that all those GREEN "Dargie's Delight" Ernie Ball basses are called "Caramel Apple"???

I've got two Uncles in the carnival business. Both have food joints on the shows. They make 1,000's of caramel apples each week. Even the ones that are green to start (Many are red. Depends on that week's supplier) are never THAT color, and they certainly, obviously aren't that color after being caramelled (shiny dark brown, actually).

Seem like a short sighted (if not outright stupid) name choice for this color?

......RATZ! Still bored. :atoz:

I guess when you're the artist, you can take some "creative license"... ;)

That being said, the new color is spectacular in person!

Peace!

No doubt, it's a great color. Just badly named. ;)

Kinda' like calling something that's Ivory White in color, "Elephant". :eyebrow:

You are comparing apples to basses.

I don't have any uncles who worked in carnivals but this looks like caramel to me.

Me too. Nice attention to detail.
But......, unless it changes depending on the way light hits it (which is what I'm guessing as your bass is looking a little green on the bottom edge),
that is no where near the color in the ads I referenced.

The basses in the ads were as green as, say...this>.

Are you sure you're not related to anybody in the carnival business?
One of my Uncle's shows is called....get ready for it........Inland Empire!

Now that's irony. :smug:

Its a colour shift paint. So yes, it does change.

Well that's terrible marketing then.
Why not show that in the ads?!?
The one's in the ads are green only, with no hint what-so-ever that there is any color shift. :eyebrow:
