I have a bass student that needs to buy a Simandle bass method book. #1 is what I am looking for him. here is the deal - all the new ones are in BOTH english and japanese text and it's annoying for him to look at while he is trying to learn to read music. So, does anyone here have a used OLDER version of the Simandle method #1 book they would be willing to part with for a price?

I know that I have an couple of extra like new Simandle Book #1's at my weekend home that I can sell at a minimal cost. Let me check if they do or do not have the Japanese Text.

Sorry Andrew. I looked and both copies have the Japanese text. It's been a while since I last taught using them.
