Can Titanium be used for any of this? If so , is it available anywhere? LM Bass 10-02-2002, 01:26 AM David King uses titanium truss rods, but I can't think of anyone else who uses it. Hipshot bridges are available in brass and aluminum. The brass has more sustain and growl to it, the aluminum responds faster and sounds woodier.(Just my opinion). The only place to get hold of a Ti truss is from David King, who makes a very special kind of bass. Unless you make it yourself/have a nearby workshop do it for you. The same goes for brushed Al, which is very uncommon on the market. If you make it yourself, only one set...then why not all Ti? Good enough, and a little different:D Good luck! |
