VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Zebrano as a neck wood?

How would Zebrawood work as the main wood of a neck-through? I came across a 9 ft. piece of lumber at a local hardwood vendor, and he gave it to me for $10! He said it has been in thier wherehouse for way too long, and wanted to get rid of it. Unfortuantely, I think it's too small to use as a bookmatched top, but could I use it to build a neck?

It sure can, I have used it with no problems.

Will work, but it is way on the heavy side...Keep your ears on the dead spots!

Nice work. Control cavity looks great! How heavy was that bass?

She weighs about 8-9 lbs. I'd say. I'm used to playing a really heavy guitar, so it doesn't seem overly heavy to me.. nowhere near what a Warwick weighs.
