I love my Stingray, really. When I played her she felt and sounded so good, I bought her DESPITE the horrendous finish she was sporting ( I think it's called "Autumn Red",sparkly orange darkening to brownish red , Brrrrrrr!!!!!)
So, how do I get the crud off? I'm sort of rough with my guitars, and the chips I've put in it reveal to me a daunting task. It's really thick and in many different layers. I'm ok with taking my bass apart and refinishing it. I just need to know what is best to remove this finish.
( p.s.- Anyone know of a durable urethane I can use after I stain the wood?)
