Hey Michael,
I was just wondering, the Hyperbass you used on Equilibre, what kind of wood is the body and fingerboard made out of? I know zon uses some kind of wood for their fingerboards, but I wasn't sure about yours since it seems so shiny. By the way, I love that cd! Hope you guys get together for a follow up.

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your nice words about Equilibre! The bass I used (which I call "Jr." because it's a cross between a Sonus and a Hyperbass!) has a bubinga top, a thin layer of purple heart and then an ash back. The fingerboard is made of Phenowood, which is wood -- birch, I think -- impregnated with a resin to make it extra strong.
