I just wanted to know if I am the only person that uses
flatwound strings.I have a Yahama BBN5II with D'Addario
Chromes High Finish Ribbon Wound Soft Gauge Long Scale strings. When I get the $$$$$ saved up I plan on getting a
Carvin BB70F.I don't slap or use a pick.I'm just a two
fingered plunker.

TWO FINGERED: Great, lots of flatwound users here, but you should go plunk on the bass guitar (BG) side of the board. Here it's double bass (DB), and the scale is longer than what you plunk. Take it easy.

SFB - I too use flatwound strings. You've probably never heard of the brand - Corelli. The 41.5" scale on my bass really makes the low notes speak! And the unplugged volume is really great too. "How do I hold such a long scale instrument?" you might ask. I stand up next to it. I'm also not sure how roundwounds would work with a bow. :) Peace.
