VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Hey John Turner
Guy Dude Bro 06-12-2003, 09:29 PM I live in the Atlanta area too(Duluth to be exact) and i was wondering if you had any suggestions about where I could go for some good bass lessons. I took lessons from an awesome local player named Tom Young but he took a job involvong a tour with a soul artist called Donnie, if you've heard of him. If you could suggest anyone or any place for lessons I'd really appreciate it
john turner 06-12-2003, 09:58 PM hey
there's a guy in town named russ rogers who is great, used to be the head of bass department at aim. i don't however have contact info for him - you might try pacman (he used to live in atlanta and actually told me about russ). good luck with it.
btw, if you're not busy tomorrow, come on out and hear my band play at 10 p.m. at the library grill. = http://www.thelibrarybar.com/default.aspx
hope you can make it. :)
Mike Money 06-12-2003, 10:51 PM Why don't you just give him lessons JT?
Pacman 06-13-2003, 09:04 AM Russ' number is 404-361-6064, or at least it was when I left.
Russ is, bar none, the best teacher in town. Tell him I sent you!

really? I'll have to give him a call. Does he teach at all levels? I'm 16 and been playing for almost 2 years, but from what I've been told I'm fairly advanced for my playing time. Thanks guys.

edit: sorry I missed your show JT. I dont think I meet the age requirements. Maybe I could get in with the band next time:D .
Pacman 06-16-2003, 12:51 PM Russ teaches all levels. He was actually the first chair of the bass dept at AIM, now held by Adam.
