What is the cheapest recorder that you know of that can handle bass????? i mean cheap as in less that $40..... thanks, EVAN

Less than 40? Dude you on drugs? It isn't gonna ever be that low, it will cost you at least 300 for a small not all that bad one.

well, technicly those like interview recorders can "handle" bass, just it sounds horrible. my old band, we taped our "demo" on an old boombox that had a built in mic, set it down in the middle of the room, pressed record, and just played. sounds horrible in quality, but it captured the bass, and it wasnt distorted. the whole mix together sounded horrible, but the bass was clear and audible, when all by itself.
