In David Hollender's Jazz Arco Bass Discography (http://classes.berklee.edu/dhollender/ArcoJazzDiscography.html) there appears this bassist with a recording together with Ray Brown: "Basses Loaded".

That's very interesting as an anwer to my initial question in the "Bowed Bass in Jazz" (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=9156) thread, because Arni seems to bow both the melodies of and solos on some well known ballads (Body and Soul, I Remember Clifford, My Funny Valentine).

Anyone knows this recording? Any opinions about it?

All I know is that he´s Icelandic and I think he plays with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra... :)

I haven´t really heard much about him (or his music for that matter) ... :(
