i have a 1942 kay orchestra model in blonde for sale. i have had the bass for 8 or more years. was in pieces when i got it but had it restored with the intentions of branching out from electric, this never happened and it remains virtually un-played. i put a new set of thomasstik weich on it at time of restoration. plays and sounds great, real warm tone....no cracks or buzzes but all the nicks and dings expected of a 65 yr old instrument that has been well played. would love this bass to go to someone who will play it like it deserves to be played! i play only electric and mostly just record for fun and teach at this point in my life, have no intentions of learning this demanding instrument. i am in south carolina near charlotte nc and can email pictures to any interested parties. it has no bag or case and i have no idea about shipping etc. contact me with any questions. dan
