1974 Suzuki 3/4 for $975?

I found a 1974 Suzuki 3/4 for $975 at a local store and I'm wondering if anyone has any info on these basses. Search results only turn up the Suzuki teaching method.

The bass seems in good shape, but I didn't have a chance to play it yet. Assuming the bass is in decent shape, is $975 a reasonable price to pay for a starter URB?

Any info would help. Thanks!

Seriously though, their violin family instruments are well made and sound decent. I've only seen one Suzuki DB and it was okay.

Condition, setup & sound are all more important than the label.

I'd say if it's all in working order, that's a great price for a started bass.
