3/4 fits in Nissan D21 cab

I live in Anchorage, AK and have been stuck using the EUB. The temperature here is in the single digits Fahrenheit.
I have a D21 extended cab pick up, and normally spring thru fall I can get away with sticking it in the bed with some padding and the topper on. Not at this time of the year.

So after much frustration not being able to use the real bass I finally came up with a solution.

I pulled out the passenger seat in the cab.
With the end pin pulled out I can fit the DB on it's side where the passenger seat use to be. I still have space left over in the cab for a small amp (if needed), gig bag, music stand, instrument stand and some other miscellaneous stuff.

I know not every one here can sacrifice a passenger seat or live somewhere where the temperatures are so damaging to a bass, but for the freaks like me who live in the freezing cold northern hemisphere parts this might be a solution for you.

Happy Holidays.

didn't have any luck tucking it in like i do in my ranger? well it sounds like you have come up with a good solution. you ak folks have never been short on being resourceful.

sure wish i could make a month long trip up there and do some gold panning, some whitewater and some fishing. maybe i could drive them trucks on the ice roads and do some crab fishing too. lol. i doubt, having spent most of my life in alabama, i could make it through the winters there.

I was able to fit it with the seat in just barely but it wasn't looking to good for the bass so I just took it one step further by ripping out the seat.

The summers up here are amazing, you would have fun. I already miss the bonfires, midnight jams, and camping. I'll have to wait a couple more months for that.
As far as the winters go, they are dark depressing and cold, but this is my 6 winter up here and you kind of get use to it.

Pulling your seat out to accomodate your bass! I admire your dedication.

Move. There are 49 other states to chose from.

But, I do admire your dedication.

I've lived in many states, and this one has grown on me the winters might suck, but the summers are the best, the music scene is still fresh and innovative, the people are cool, we've got the best drinking water in the country, and probably best micro brew beer as well.
And we haven't turned into another California,yet...

And there are some great festivals up north in the winter too. There's Frostbite in Whitehorse, which I was lucky enough to play at a while back, where American and Canadian northerners go to have a really good time!
