The 4,000 TB DB thread!

That's right: you're now participating in the 4,000 thread on this forum.

So...let's address posterity. What big chunk of advice do you want to go on the record as saying? (And perhaps, not have to repeat 4,000 times from here on out) Go for it!

OK - If you want to be in demand and play all the time , roll on the bottom, start with open strings and never go above the 5th fret.

I'll probably get flamed for that.
How's about check the forum before you post. ^^^^^
That's my comment for posterity.

Sing through the bass, don't play it.

And a special dedication in honor of our pals "60Bass" and "BassBrock":

You 'aint from around here, are you boy? If it says "Doublebass Forums" then we don't care about your Warwick 6 string or your Big Muff pedal. Welcome to the DB side, please look but don't touch. Please don't reply to a post about the new EA Micro by saying that your Trace Elliot 8x10 "kicks ****ing ***, yo!!!!!"

Helfpul Tips From The Pros

The correct way to get a tune started is to say in a loud voice, "Beat us off, drummer!"

At least that's how Emil Richards does it. PW, I told you you would like him.

I do care about your Big Muff pedal. But I do try to politely hang out on the BG side and pretend I use it on my bass guitar if I'm going to talk about it. That conversation didn't go that well over here. I guess I'll never fit in anywhere.....
