'40 Kay M-1

Hi gang. I have a 1940 Kay M-1. I love it but I know very little about it, or string bass in general for that matter. Please discuss and enlighten me if you like. Thanks!

Also, I am looking for a gig bag, which I posted in the "wanted" section. Any recommendations are very welcome, of course. Thanks again. -Jason

Thumbs up Kay Bass Info . . .

F Y I - www.kaybass.com and/or www.fretwellbass.com . . . one and/or the other should be able to provide just about any info you might want/need to know about any Kay Bass -

Read over the newbie links and then do a few searches. You'll find a wealth of information on Kays and DBs in general. The first link that Tejano provided leads to an especially fine resource.

I've used both resources and agree on what has been said. If you need work done on your Kay, go see Jerry. It's worth the time to drive to Staunton to talk with him.
