another bass to be named

Hello,
First of all sorry for my english and i hope you'll understand.
I've just have a new bass and i would like to know if someone could help me to find who could have built it.
There are kinds of serial number at the bottom of the bass which are written, "burnt": on one side of the endpin is 7 and on the other side 3466. I can't say how old it is but it's between 50's and 80's; No part is massive, but the wood on the back is "érable ondé" (on french). Nothing is written inside and i found it without bridge, tailpiece, endpin, and its neck is not its first one.
Does anybody know who, which company, could "sign" its basses whith such numbers?
Thanks

Hi romencho
Welcome on Talkbass!
Let me suggest you that you fill out your public profile as much as you can. (gear, where you are, etc.)
You'll see it can be very useful at times!

OK, I did it but I'm not sure I have understood everything (in my mind "gear" refers to an engine.... "gearbox", sorry!)
