If Bob is selling it, I'm inclined to believe that it's a great bass. No direct exp. with it though.

Are you looking specifically for a 1/4 size bass?

I've had some Engelhardts pass through my house. They aren't bad, but they're usually not "great" either. But like Bob says, they're way better than some of the junk that's available online these days. They're solid workhorse basses.

Sorry to say that I don't know about other 1/4 size options; hopefully someone who does will pop in.

I am about to pull the trigger but have one more question.
I also dont care about sound that much I just want it to be a playable bass.

Since this is a 1/4 bass will the strings be floppy or not tight enought

String companies make strings to fit the bass properly, so they should be fine. Thomastik, for instance, makes strings starting at 90 cm.

The strings that new basses ship with are often crappy, so be ready for that possibility.
