I am shopping for a bass and have come across a bass made in West Germany by a maker called "Fredr Meindl". Is anyone familiar with this maker? I find zero references online in English, just a few in Asian languages.

Well since no one here has heard of it, I just went ahead and bought it. I will pick it up Saturday and post a picture or two. It's a carved instrument. German. Made in the mid-eighties. It's loud for a carved back and has a fairly bright voice.
