Anyone had any experience with Thomann basses?

I've been doing a lot of digging around and I've come across a selection of fairly cheap DBs on the Thomann website. Bearing in mind I'm just a beginner DBer, this is beginning to seem like a really good idea to buy something cheap and then upgrade once I get better.

Anyone dealt with any Thomann DBs before? Are they any good? Any opinions appreciated?

PS: Had my first real attempt at playing a DB today. It felt GOOD!

Yes, do a search. Lots of threads on them already.

Check Basschat, the UK bass forum, for info from some Brits who have taken this route.

Here's a picture of my Model 222 bass that was a present from my wife and kids about 5 years ago. (Got it w/ a gig bag & stand.) Great bass, just wish I had more time to play it.
