Anyone Heard of Lark basses?

I just a found upright for sale at a reasonable price. The company is called Lark and I was just wondering, has anyone on here heard of this company? Is this bass a ccb?

I know its not a top of the line company but I'm just looking for a fairly good bass thats not a piece of crap.

Thanks

I''m fairly sure this is a ccb. Do you have a link, or any pics?

I know its another ebay link but I've been looking everywhere for something affordable.
Thanks

Lark in the Morning, perhaps?

The California-based company "Lark in the Morning" sells a bass forabout $800, and it sort of looks like the one on Ebay.

Visit their site at http://larkinthemorning.com/product....Bass+Fiddle_E_

I've bought a number of things from them over the years, but wouldn't ever consider buying a bass from them!

CCB all the way.

Unfortunately "affordable", and "good",do not always go hand in hand in the upright world.

It could be good (for the money at least). It's a crap shoot though, check craigslist.org in your area.

I checked craigslist.org already and I didn't find anything. Thats generally a good site to get really good deals on things but whenever I look for upright basses, they are either crappy or way out of my price range.

A ccb is a cheap chinese bass or just any cheap bass.

Yeah, affordable and good definitely don't go hand in hand with uprights. I have been looking forever for a good and affordable bass and, at this point, I am still upright-less.

Save some pennies, hell even a Sam Ash CCB would be better than an ebay CCB. At least with Sam Ash you can play before you buy or get a warranty so if it implodes or just turns out to crap you can return it.

I'd be inclined to look for a beater Kay. They turn up on EBAY all the time and there seem to be a few in the Midwest. Sure, they may need some work, but I've seen some for under $1000. At least you probably won't lose money on the deal.
Heck, you're in Chicago: consider an Englehardt.

Yeah, I would definitely get a Kay or Engelhardt if I saw one for a good price on ebay.

What does being from around Chicago have to do with Engelhardt?

Engelhardt is made in a suburb of Chicago.

Keep looking at craigslist and check out local luthiers and string shops.

Can I actually buy directly from Engelhardt?

If so, I might call and ask if they've got any blemished basses that I can take off their hands.
