Anyone know of a good live tuner?

I played a show with bluegrass players recently and realized it is not very easy to tune with a crowd. I borrowed the banjo players "Soul Mate" tuner. It worked pretty good but it didn't recognize the open E string. Does anyone recommend a particular tuner the use in a noisy venue?
Thanks

I've been pretty happy with the Tune Tech tt500. Same as Intelli IMT 500

It swivels, and I've been clipping between the feet of the bridge, facing up. It lights up, so I just turn it on and look down at the bridge. It registers all the strings pizz, but not always open bowed strings.

I've tried the Intelli IMT 500, as well as the Inteillitouch PT1 and both were OK. At Jerry Fretwell's advice I got eNote Chromatic Clip on Tuner.

Put it on the headstock (instead of the bridge where I used the others) and it is perfect. Set on Chromatic it picks up every string perfectly. And is alot cheaper than the others.

Thumbs up e-Note

+1 - e-Note - $30 - why pay more?

It's never failed to register any note for me . . .

Another vote for the e-Note. In addition to picking up the E, the red-to-green screen light makes it easy to use in dim mighting.

If you have a pickup on your bass, plugging in to any tuner with a 1/4" jack bassically eliminates the problem.

I use Boss TU-2, goes fine in all the steel strings with the Realist.
Not so good with gut strings and Revolution Solo 2 in open G.

How about the Seiko STX1?

I just got this about a month ago, and it recognizes all strings, has a microphone mode, and can play a drone as well.
