Back from Italy with my new bass

Just returned from Italy with my new Golia bass. I've owned lots of basses and it's the best new bass I've ever played. Luciano has really evolved as a luthier.I'll post pics in a few days. It's all custom for me including a VERY cool scroll. Any ideas on good trunks? I have a Gage trunk and I really don't like the way the bass is strapped in and suspended. I've used it for 10 years and it's been rebuilt and updated, but I think that the design could be better. By the time I got back to Chicago the straps had loosened and the bass was just bouncing around. Fortunately it's ok. I use my EUB on the road for touring, but occasionally I have to bring the DB for recordings or tv stuff. I don't mind spending some dough----I just want something lightweight that really protects the bass. Any cool new space-age stuff out there? Just joking, but I'm sure that there are some better engineered trunks.

Christian Weber the swiss bass player has one of these and swears by it. nice and light and great protection, a bit pricy though

Signor Golia individually names every bass that he makes, does your bass have a name?

He named it Empatico. Like empathetic. I asked him to name it Dick Cheney, but he wouldn't do it. Go figure. Ah **** it.

Or, to quote Dick Cheney, "Go **** yourself, Leahy"
ok, maybe i should stop now. Congrats on the bass. Look forward to the pics. The other Golias I've seen have been mighty purdy.
