Bass Cafe-still serving lunch?

Anyone else having a problem getting a hold of Steve at the Bass Cafe lately? I sent him a few emails in the last two weeks and got no reply. Does anyone know if he's on vacation or something? I don't see any indication of such on the website....? He's got some nice stuff listed on the sight right now!

Cheers

Have you tried phoning him? I know in the past, I've had much better luck that way. I think it depends on his orchestra schedule. He's a good guy to deal with in my experience, though.

No, I haven't. Phoning can be difficult because I watch my kid all day and practice in the basement with any spare time I've got. I'm kind of a text/email guy. I'll call him when I get the chance. I know he's a good guy, that's why I'm curious if he might just be out of town or something. Usually, he gets right back with any questions...

Think he was gone for a few days. I talked to him this afternoon and ordered a rosewood tailpiece.

Steve got back to me, he was out of town. It's great dealing with a pro player who sells instruments. His descriptions are very articulate and informative.

Hi Jason,

LOTS of nice stuff listed on Steve's website, however it is hopelessly out of date. I was interested in the Bryant bass he has posted ("priced to sell asap"). I called him and he said it had already sold. That was 2 years ago, but it is still listed!

I have done business with Steve, and think he offers very reasonably priced items. Just saying, he certainly isn't spending money on website maintenance!

Cheers,

He probably leaves that on as a 'sample' for future commission...
