Bass Feedback

I play in a Blues band on the west coast. We play a little jump-blues to south west blues. I am experiencing some feedback primarily around the note of "D".

Bass=Plywood Strunal(upper end)
Amp=SWR Super Readhead

There are gonna be too many variables in there to give any sort of accurate answer,but areas to look would be;

Amp EQ
Preamp or not ?
Strings
Pickup(or mic)
Stage position
Volume

I`m sure there are more,but these should keep you busy for the next few years,haha.
Try searching the forum here for feedback issues,if you find that magic cure let us all know.

And not to mention that though the above variables may work where you practice, you may need to fully re-adjust them at gigs... It never ends!
