Bass instructor in North San Diego County?

Any recommendations? I've played electric for 20 years and am ready to embark on a new adventure. Just don't want to pick up bad habits.

Thanks

If you live in NSDC I suggest you study with Gunnar Biggs. He was the former Double Bass Professor San Diego State, he retired about a year ago. He teaches privately in Carlsbad and runs the Palomar College Jazz Big Band. He is a great bassist in both Classical and Jazz genre and is very active as a musician playing with local and world renowned jazz players when they come to the San Diego area.

I studied with him 14 years ago while making the transition from EB to UR. If you PM me and I can put you in contact with him.

How about Joe McNalley in Encinitas? He plays with the Hutchins Consort.

Terry Plumeri, up in LA. Well worth the trip!

Not just a virtuoso bassist with both jazz and orchestral credits. Also a very successful screenplay writer, and orchestral conductor and composer.

You couldn't do better IMHO. I studied with him for about three years. An insightful, inspired teacher.
