Bass rental in San Francisco area?

Hello,

My group and I, the Two Man Gentlemen Band (nyc), are going to be on tour in California and Oregon from July 15th-29th, and I was wondering about any stores/individuals that might be able to help with a rental/borrowing. I have looked at rentabass.com, and have emailed Union Music Company and A&G music products so far. Thanks for the help!

I know Guitar Showcase Swap is renting, that's in San Jose:

You might or might not like their prices and systems they rent bass-wise, so call them. --Kent

Exactly what are you interested in renting?

I'm not sure that Guitar Showcase even has upright basses.

A&G are good people, I used to get my setups done there when I lived up north. The basses they carry are on the inexpensive side (chinese), but they're very well made in my opinion. I think the designs were done with Barry Green's input. I bought a bass from A&G a while back, and while I've since replaced it with a higher-end instrument, I still use it as my jazz bass and a lot of the jazz guys I know swear by A&G basses.

God, that really sounds like a shameless plug, doesn't it? Anyway, yeah, you won't go wrong there.
