bass storage

Where can the bass be stored, if the rooms seem to be to small and the wife complaining, you should hide the thing, if you are not playing it ?
Does anybody have good ideas, where to keep the bass hidden, when not playing, in a way, that does consume the least amount of space ?
My only idea until now was to build a new, higher bed and store the bass under it, but I am not sure, if that would be really a good idea. The rooms are not high enough (only 2,45m) to store something above the closets.

I think we should stick to english. Just puting the bass into the corner would make it necessay to put something there before it to hide the bass. My wife does not like the instruments to be visible if not played., no use to try to store it in the living room. Not to much floor space left in the other rooms.

How about finding an aesthetically nice way of displaying it, instead of hiding it? If it looks like it's meant to be there it might be less objectionable. Don't know what your wife will think of it, but it might be worth a try. Plus, basses are hard to hide--I don't really have any ideas to help with that.
