A Bass in Woodstock NY?

I'm looking to borrow a bass for a gig sunday the 31st in woodstock. I'd rather not have to play the slab if it's possible. I'll be taking a bus in and don't want to chance not having room for my own bass. It's an afternoon gig. PM or reply here.

I wouldn't worry about room on the bus. Those things have tons of cargo space underneath.

I don't know how I feel about putting a bass under the bus though. I only have a soft case and don't really want to worry about my bass being stuck under a bus sliding around with all the other luggage.

I'm not a bus travel veteran but maybe you can find out if there's bulkhead seating or unused handicap seating where you can keep the bass in your line of sight?

What about renting a car? Could that be covered by your day's pay? You can fit a bass in surprsiingly small places.

Or, and this is a long shot I know, but maybe you can place an ad on Craig's List and hitch a ride with someone who's going up the same day. I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't 1000 city dwellers with weekend homes in the Catskills who might be looking for company or help with gas money.

** edit: wait, I just reread your location. Are you coming from Syracuse, or Purchase? Or neither? Is a train an option?
