Basses in the NYTimes

Interactive bit here:

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...WT.mc_ev=click

Article here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/03/re...te/03habi.html

Any idea what kind of bass Peter Seymour's holding in those shots? In the article he mentions that it's 203 years old, which would mean it was made in 1806.

Fun Post!

Thanks for the link. It brought back that indescribable feeling of being at the center of civilization that one experiences when one is in the city. Home in small-town Minnetonka is a great place to be but I can't wait to go back to the city...

Reminds me of living in the musicians dorms at NT or Berklee. Musicians all around.

Yes, It's me in one of the articles above and yes, it's a lot of fun living here. Lots of musicians to jam with. Lots of bass players to talk strings with or borrow a wheel from. Across the street from the park for when your fingers hurt from too much practicing. 30 min on the subway to Smalls, 55 Bar or Jazz Gallery.
I sound like an add in the jazz housing classifieds...
