Bassmobile anybody?

What a, ummm...great idea. I found this product in a Lewis & Son catalog from 1961. Anybody ever see such an invention? What would it do to a bass to hold it up by its endpin?

Interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

Two thoughts:
1.) Seems like it would put a lot of torsional stress on the endpin fitting. The bass is leaning, the endpin is not.

2.) $19.95, in 1961, was a lot of money.

Hi.

WOW.

"Only" $19.95 ($144.57 *) to most probably destroy Your instrument, at least the end-pin and/or the end block.

An "invention" for the sake of just inventing (adapting) something. Anything.
IMHO (BEng Mech.) anyway.
