The spacing between the D and A strings looks off, must be an illusion. The bass does look nice, removable neck?

"These instruments are carved from solid woods and one of Roland’s masterpieces is a contra-bass that is made from very rare imbuya, with beautiful flames and exquisite sound projection. This instrument is valued between US$ 10 000 - 20,000. "

says the website

i also see that string spacing thing. i assumed someone was holding the string aside to show the figured fingerboard.

wich, by the way, i've never seen before- a heavily figured fingerboard on a DB? could this be a bad thing? looks beautiful regardless.

Do you pressume that because we are situated on the African continent we will charge
the minimum, so we can buy some much needed food and other supplies??

No, but things generally cost less in Africa (Canadian dollar versus African currency). Schooling costs less in Africa than Canada, so I was unsure if this would translate into trade as well.

I didn't mean to offend, if that's how you took it.

in my experience figured fingerboards are a real B to dress...lots of sharpening plane blades

Woah. I'd love to meet that bass in a dimly lit room with a nice bottle of wine.

...I'm talking about clubs to play it at!

That is sure one of the handsomest-looking basses I have ever seen. Especially that fingerboard!
