Thumbs up

Hi,

I will be at the symposium late this afternoon, can't leave work early, but two of my students will be there earlier today.

I would suggest Ronald Sachs Violins. Huthmakers will be at the symposium, so that would be the other I would recommend.

Look forward to meeting a fellow TB'er at UGA.

Brian

Atlanta Bass Gallery has moved from it's convenient downtown location near Georgia Tech to the burbs in Smyrna. Check the website for their proper address.

There isn't a shop in the greater metropolitan area that specializes in double bass. The violin family dealers here that do have double basses seem to be focused on supplying instruments to school systems so it's likely that the basses you will see have Shen labels in them.

Ronald Sachs does great repair work and he'll have the best selection of basses in the city. Emil Baran in Decatur may have a few Wilfers. Some of the other odd shops may have a bass or two.
