Does anyone have any experience or opinions on this bass? How's the sound, specifically arco? Thanks for the help.

Do a search. I'm pretty certain this bass has been discussed a lot. Including posts from Brian himself.

I did a search before creating the thread and nothing on this bass turned up. If you could send me the link to one that would be great.

Search the 'Basses' Forum for 'Bromberg wood bass' and you'll get the goods.

Brian Bass

I live in So. Cal near the Lemur Shop and have tried both models. There is a model made in China or Korea( I forget which country) and the other is German made. Both are great sounding instruments for the respective pricing. Jerry actually got to take the pattern from Brian's bass along with top, back and rib thickness measurements. The basses are very easy to play in the thumb position and the arco sound was nice.

I've never played it but I've only heard good things about it 2nd hand. I think it's definitely worthy of consideration and I was about the try it when I decided to have a bass built.
