Broken Upright...Any Hope??

Hi guys, I live in R.I. I was just beginning to get the hang of my upright when i went downstairs and discovered that it fell over andthe neck broke off of the body. There is still a piece hanging on, but the magority of the neck just above where it meets the body is badly cracked.
Is this repairable? and if so around how much money, and does anyone know a repairman in or near R.I? thanks

Any hope? There's always Mount Hope....

But siriusly - the thing most luthiers say is if all the pieces are in the same neighborhood, it can be fixed. The question is - will the repair cost more than the bass is worth. If it's just knocked out of the neck block (that's happened to my bass a few times), that's an easy enough glue job. If it's a CBSOPOS, they may have used wood glue (or worse) in the neck block so that you tore out a big chunka wood and ****ed the slot. THAT"S gonna be a nice chunka change.

He's in Pawtucket.
He trained with the best.
He has done some major stuff (neck) on one of my basses.

+1 Zach Martin has a great rep. I heard two basses he's worked on; both played beautifully and sounded huge.

If I lived in R.I., I would start with Zach Martin.

Note that Kurt Ratering is a bass luthier, at Johnson Strings' "The Bass Shop." So, you have recommendations from both a client and a fellow bass luthier.
