Bucharest 1302T DB
Been wanting a 'real' DB for so long! Picked up a 2006 Knilling Bucharest 3/4 (made in Romania) for $500 on EvilBay! I've been woodshedding on a Palatino EUB for a couple of years, so its sweet to play the real thing. I've got all 5ers for my other basses.
Its in amazing condition and I think it lived most of its life standing in a corner... there's nary chip or blemish on it.
I'm going to DIY install some bridge adjusters and it probably needs a pro set-up at some point. The bridge is shaped for arco and the height is a bit much: E 11mm, A 12mm, D 11mm, G 9mm. I want to be able to get this down 2mm for better pizz playing.
Now I've got to hit my F. Simandl 'New Method for the Double Bass' with some real motivation! Its a weird book, half in Japanese!
Any suggestions for good training book for an experienced bass guitar player?
