Bulgarian Five strind DB

I am thinking of purchasing a 5 string bulgarian 3/4 Double bass, from Gollihur music. Anyone familiar with these basses...any feedback will be of assistance...

Have you played a 5 string before?
I play jazz, and I personally find them (the ones that I tried anyway...) a bit harder to play and and a little less responsive or maybe a little quieter than a 4 string. But that it's just my experience.

Its best to hear the bass first. Theres no point guessing about the tone of 4 vs 5 strings....

I played one of the early 4 string Bulgarians from Bob. It was very heavy... but I remember Bob saying that he got the manufacturers to reduce the weight of the later ones. Not a bad bass.... sounded okay, good volume for what it is.
