Buying a bass around Central CA/Bay area

I'm looking into buying a bass and can spend up to about $3000. Does anybody know of any good shops (or does anybody have any they want to sell) around the bay area or central California (anywhere north of L.A.)?

Bass and Beyond in Rancho Cordova which is a suburb of Sacramento. RC is it's own town, though.

Gelb Music in Redwood city has the biggest collection of high end basses I've ever seen outside of a custom bass shop (and maybe including most of those).

Steve Swan (http://www.steveswanguitars.com) in Burlingame, Acoustic Bass Shop (http://www.acousticbassshop.com/) in South San Francisco, A&G Music in Oakland (http://www.agmusic.com/), and Ifshin Violins (http://www.ifshinviolins.com/) in El Cerrito. All very good with different stocks, service depending on your preference.
