I haven't heard of this maker, but I've heard of this dealer. Eastern European factory, good workmanship, and not worth more than $5000. It might sound good, it might not. Anybody here worked on these instruments?

I've seen him run auctions for violins, violas and cellos also. Which college(s) did he teach at?

I check out a bass by cal;in Voultur the other day, it,s a decent bass, nothing exceptional about it, it has a sort of vintage finish, the sound was kind of green, and maybe a little bit on the boomy side, I am pretty sure that it had Tomastiks on. based on what I saw and heard I myself would save some money get something better, or just try to find one of those Asian newer basses or a Christopher for less cash.
