Can anyone tell me something about my bass?

Hello,

I'm a newcomer on this site and I've enjoyed it allready very much.

I'm especially impressed by the way people try to identify DBs by looking at pictures.

I wonder if you could tell something about mine.

I bought it from my teacher who knew little about it. It never was his own bass but he likes to take the task on him to see that his students have decent basses for decent money.

When I had it estimated for insurance the Lark insurance agent thought it was probably a copy of a Frech model made in hungary. It's supposed to be all massive and it has a new fingerboard. He estimated it to be about 5 years old. I thought that was a reasonable estimation but i'm not an expert. He estimated the instrument on 4500€ and I payed it 3000 with Dimbath cover, new strings (obligato) and the new ebony fingerboard.

I'm very happy with the playabillity and the sound.

Can anyone tell me what they think about this instrument and the estimation?

Greetz and thanks in advance,

Cigi

p.s.: the colour of the bass is very different on the different pictures because of the clouds floathing by the sun and making it lighter, darker, lighter.... The darkest colour gives a good idea of what it looks like when you see it in most lightconditions.
