Anyone know where I can get a cheap upright?

Normally I get my gear at factory price, but unfortunately the guy who I get it doesn't get any double basses.

Couple of options for you-first, the rent to own scenario. lots of times the music seller will apply some, or all, of your rental $$ towards the purchase price.
second-you're a lot closer than you would be to buying a bass if you didn't have 1k. I have seen used englehardts for around that price, and depending on how they're set up, they could be all the bass you ever want/need. check CraigsList, and read the newbies links on cheap basses from china.

He's an awesome dude and has good prices on new engelhardts (not a shill, just satisfied...). Check him out, he should have something in your price range, does good set up work, and can ship you a bass. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
