Christopher DB402T vs. Upton Hybrid

An update for anyone who might still be interested. I went and played the Christopher, and while it seemed to be a good, solid instrument, it didn't blow me away, and that's what it would have taken for me to take it home. I would probably be happy with it, but it just wasn't enough to talk me out of the Upton. Thanks to everyone who contributed their opinions about this.

Add to your consideration some weighting for intangibles...like customer service....
I bought the lowest priced Upton Standard. Learned enough here on TBDB to be aware of potential pitfalls and benefits. Had many many many questions before during and after delivery. NEVER got blown off. ALWAYS been greeted with enthusiasm and treated with respect.
I just got back from bringing my bass to the shop, Gary spent almost two hours talking with me about my concerns and goals as a new player. He even gave me a loaner bass to use while mine is being adjusted.
THIS GUY TAKES CARE OF HIS CUSTOMERS!
Please, no insulting remarks about shills or relatives....I am just a guy who spent as little as possible, and am very pleased with the results.
