Concern with Gage Case

When I was trying to close my Gage flight case, I could feel some stress on the latches as well as bending of the kevlar shell. This is a new case and, being kevlar, it's a little bit flexible. My bass is a snug fit and, as far as I can tell, the airbags aren't pushing excessively on the sides. When the bass is out of the case, it's a bit easier to shut and latch.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Lighter=more flexible

I'd contact Gages shop, they will be quick to help IF you have an issue. Sounds like the manufacturing balance of weight and rigidity. No flex=HEAVY, Lighter=more flexible. However even the age old cases did a lot of the same you are describing.

Are you laying the case on the floor when your closing it with the bass inside?

Yes, the case is on the floor. I contacted the Gage shop and they said that what I'm describing is fairly normal. I suppose it's just a very, very good fit.
